Description

Northeastern Service Day allow students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to get to know the neighborhoods where we learn, live, and work by providing one day of direct service to support the mission and goals of our committed community partners across Boston. Teams range in size from approximately 5-40 and typically support park clean ups, gardening/weeding, facility maintenance (painting, grounds work, etc.), supply/material organizing and one day event support. Check out each project to get a better idea of what the service will entail! Projects range from 2-5 hours and begin between 8:00am and 10:30am.

Register for your spot in Northeastern Service Day by Wednesday, October 17th!

Teams will assemble in Krentzeman Quad in the morning for a light breakfast before heading off to their service site. Once on site, staff at the community partner will provide you with an overview of the organization's mission, a tour of the site, and guide you through the day of service.

Interested in leading a Northeastern Service Day group? Team leaders are responsible for attending a mandatory orientation, assembling the group, facilitating ice breaker activities, guiding the group to service, supporting the team once on site, facilitating a post-service reflection, and guiding the group back to campus after the service project is completed. Click here to sign up to be a NU Service Day Team Leader (do not complete this EventBrite registration).
